I traveled to Costa Rica In 2011, which was my first solo International trip.  It was during this adventure that the seed was planted in my heart to lead Yoga Retreats.  It was also the first time I ever stood up on a surfboard, and where I fell in love with the Ocean.  This will be my first time taking a retreat to Costa Rica (a little closer to home than Bali or India!).

The Retreat will be held in Nosara, at a beautiful family-run Boutique Hotel where the Jungle meets the Sea, located just steps away from the warm Pacific Ocean.

The Hotel is located in one of only 5 Blue Zones in the world. Regions that are proven to have a higher than average number of people live longer, healthier and happier lives. Located along the stunning coastline of the Nicoya, Peninsula, it's not hard to get swept away in paradise!

"The Pure or Simple Life"

Over 7 kilometres of sugar-white sand, a conscious community of movement and nature lovers and consistent waves all year round, this small town of Nosara is a little piece of paradise in Guanacaste.

My hope for this retreat is to create a sweet space to relax, unwind, and disconnect from the hustle and bustle of life.

We will tune into the rise of the sun with daily Himalayan meditation followed by a Himalayan Kundalini Yoga journey.  Breakfast and lunch will be prepared fresh daily at the onsite restaurant, and dinner will be on our own, or as a group at one of the many local spots after taking in the incredible sunset.

The accommodations are modern thatched-roof bungalows scattered amongst the property.  Each features a private entrance and secluded outdoor seating area. The interiors are cozy, simple, comfortable and aligned with the tropical elements.  All rooms have ensuite bathrooms, A/C, and there are lots of comfy nooks to enjoy a good book or to escape the group and have time to yourself.  I'm capping the retreat to offer an intimate, quiet experience, so space will sell out fast.

I attended my first ever yoga retreat in Bali, Indonesia in August of 2019. It was a marvelous retreat with life changing outcomes.

With the wisdom and guidance of Angie Hall, my meditation practice makes more sense and has more meaning to me than it ever has. The shift started with learning techniques to help increase and improve my self love. The changes that I witnessed and felt in just a few days were substantial. Then add the backdrop of Bali, which was one of my “to do” list destinations,  which elevated the experience to beyond wonderful.

Thank you so much for a beautiful experience.

I have to say the best part of the entire journey was the meditation and yoga practices in the mornings.  Through this I learned more about myself and my own spiritual path, how to meditate in a way that brings me peace and not frustration, and I gained a deeper understanding about Sattva yoga.  Angie makes what can be a confusing and obscure practice understandable and sustainable in daily life. This was not a "woo-woo sit around and navel gaze" experience, that would never work for me. This was real and deep and powerful.  I feel deeply connected to everyone from the trip and they will be in my hearts forever.  I am now meditating regularly in addition to my yoga practice.  If I allow myself to become still, I can still feel the Bali breeze on my skin, hear the birds, smell the sweet air and feel the love of my new friends.

Angie’s retreats are life-changing, but they are also very intense. Do not sign up expecting a low-key vacation of pampering self-care. Though the locations are idyllic, and there are many memorable moments of humor, fun, and relaxation, that’s definitely not end game. You will work. You will move way beyond your comfort zone. And you will rediscover who you are in the process. It’s not easy. But it’s worth it. And if you show up and do the work, you will leave far better than you came, feeling lighter, more aware, and more rooted in your truth than you ever thought possible.
