Past Retreats

I often joke that part of my job is being an astrologer and part of my job is being an adventure guide. I started leading retreats in 2017, and since then I’ve taken groups all over the world 🌎 from the Himalayas of India to the beaches of Mexico, from Bali to Sri Lanka to Costa Rica and beyond. My retreats tend to be a little adventurous, a little off the beaten path, and always full of stories. We explore, we practice yoga and meditation, we eat incredible food, we laugh a lot, we cry sometimes too, and we usually leave with stories we’ll be telling for years. The albums below are a little window into the many retreats and adventures that have shaped this part of my life and work.

Belize 2026

The Belize retreat took place on a private island called Long Caye, and it truly felt like stepping into another world. We arrived by fast boat across bright blue Caribbean water and spent the week on one of the most beautiful stretches of beach imaginable. The days slowed down in the best way...morning yoga in the brand new oceanfront shala that we were the very first group to christen, long swims in warm water, snorkeling, sea kayaking, incredible meals prepared by the island staff, and lots of laughter and connection. In the evenings we played intense games of gin rummy and cribbage, watched the sunset, and listened to the ocean. It was one of those retreats where time somehow stood still and moved fast at the same time, and the group of women who came together made the experience unforgettable.

Costa Rica 2025

Last year’s Costa Rica retreat was my second time hosting in this incredible part of the world, and it turned into one of the most memorable groups I’ve ever traveled with. One of my longtime yoga students brought a few of her friends to celebrate her 50th birthday, we had a mother traveling with her two daughters, and I also got to share the experience with my very best friend, which made the week even more meaningful for me personally. We went whale and dolphin watching, snorkeled in warm Pacific water, spent long afternoons at our beautiful luxury villa in the jungle above the ocean, and had some of the best happy hours and dinners just laughing and being together. One of the most unforgettable moments was climbing a 70-foot tree and doing a giant tree swing out over the jungle — it tested everyone’s courage and almost all of us did it. By the end of the week, the bond between the women on that retreat was incredibly deep. It was one of those retreats none of us will ever forget.

Himalayas of India 2023

This was my 13th pilgrimage and my 4th retreat to India.  This year we started at the Taj Mahal and went to the most Northern region of India, Leh Ladakh.  We experienced the sacredness of ancient monasteries, took a ride on the worlds highest motorable road, rode camels at sunset and explored the Nubra Valley.  We ended our retreat in Rishikesh, the birthplace of yoga where we stayed in a luxury resort with amazing views of the Ganga river.

Puerto Vallarta Mexico 2022

This was my 1st retreat to Mexico.  Our eco- boutique retreat center was a 40 minute boat ride from Puerto Vallarta.  This was my first retreat after the pandemic and it was a beautiful gathering of women who came together to reconnect to e our adventurous spirit.  We enjoyed staying in the jungle but playing in the sea.  We had the most incredible meals and delicious drinks.  We snorkeled, paddled-boarded and enjoyed the cozy private beach that we had all to ourselves.

Uluwatu Bali 2019

This was my 2nd retreat to Bali and we stayed down south in my favorite area of Uluwatu.  We stayed in an amazing luxury retreat villa just steps away from the cliffside of Bingin beach.   We meditated with the rise of the Sun and practiced Himalayan Kundalini each day.  We made our way to the sacred water temple in Ubud and enjoyed shopping in the urban village of Seminyak.  We took the tram down the side of the cliffs to spent the day on Karma beach, ending the day with the most magical sunset ever!

Rishikesh, India 2018

This was my 2nd retreat to India.  We started off our adventure by visited the magnificent Taj-Mahal.  We also visited the Red Fort and the peaceful Lotus Temple.  We then made our way to Rishikesh where we adventured for a few days before attending the Sattva Summit.  The Sattva Summit was an incredible experience where we dove into the sacred wisdom of the Yog-Vedantic practices.  We ended our 2 weeks together shopping in Old Delhi.

India 2017

This was my first retreat to India and I got to co-lead the retreat with my best friend so that was extra special for me.  We started the retreat in Varanasi which sits along the Ganga river.  We took boats out onto the Ganga at sunrise and sunset to witness the cremations occurring along the river.  We also visited Sarnath, the place where Buddha preached his first sermon after enlightenment.  We ended our retreat in Rishikesh attending the Sattva Summit.

Baja, Mexico 2025

The Wild Wild Mex retreat was incredibly special because I got to bring a group of women to the place I now call home. We stayed in a beautiful house right on the same stretch of beach where I surf most mornings. During the week we wandered through local markets buying cowboy hats and handmade goods, drank margaritas, ate incredible food, went horseback riding in the hills above Primo Tapia, and spent slow mornings and golden evenings by the ocean. One afternoon I brought everyone over to the deck at Casablanca so they could see a little piece of the life I’ve built here. It was one of those retreats that felt less like a trip and more like sharing a little slice of my world with a really amazing group of women.

India & Sri Lanka 2024

This retreat began at the Taj Mahal, which I have now seen many times and it still takes my breath away every single visit — the love story and the energy there are unlike anywhere else in the world. From there we traveled high into the Himalayas to Leh Ladakh, one of the most remote and stunning regions of India, where we crossed the world’s highest motorable road at over 18,000 feet, rode camels at sunset in the Nubra Valley, visited monasteries, and spent time with monks and lamas in the mountains. The guesthouse where we stay in Ladakh feels like coming home to yourself — the people welcome us like family and the landscape is quiet, vast, and deeply spiritual. After more than a week in the Himalayas, we traveled to Sri Lanka to finish the journey by the ocean, where we slowed down, enjoyed warm turquoise water, beautiful beaches, incredible food, and the kindness and generosity of the Sri Lankan people. It was a truly unforgettable journey with an incredibly special group of women.

Seminyak Bali 2022

This was my 3rd retreat to Bali, and this time we arrived early and did a little pre-retreat exploring.  We started in Kuta and then took a fast motorboat to the Gili Islands.  The retreat was a few blocks away from the golden beaches of Seminyak.  We explored many different areas; enjoyed lunch in Ubud, shopping in Canggu, and an incredible sunset on the magical beach of Uluwatu.

Dharmshala & Rishikesh India 2019

This was my 3rd retreat to India and boy was it an adventure!  We started in Dharmshala where we got to see the Dali Llama in his home temple.  We stayed in a beautiful Himalayan resort right on the river and got to see the first dusting of snow on the Himalayan peaks.  We then made our way to Rishikesh where we attended the Sattva Summit and visited many temples and enjoyed shopping in Laxman Jhula.  We ended our retreat by visiting the aw-inspiring Taj Mahal.

Prescott, Arizona 2019

This Goddess retreat was my first mountain retreat held at a beautiful family cabin in the woods of Prescott.  We meditated with the rise of the sun, experienced Himalayan Kundalini Journey's each morning, and hiked and explored the area each afternoon.  We spent a lot of cozy time at the kitchen table working on visions boards and enjoying arts and crafts together.  We had some of the best meals I've ever had during a retreat prepared by a dear student and friend.  What a special time together!

Tuscany, Italy 2018

This was my 1st retreat and 1st visit to Italy.  I planned the trip to coincide with my 40th birthday, and what a special birthday it was!  We stayed in an incredible Tuscan Villa high on the hillside of Lucca.  We meditated each morning in the family vineyard overlooking the Tuscan Valley and ended our days poolside watching the golden sunset.  It was truly a magical experience.  We hiked the Cinque Terras, rode bikes along the village pathway, and got to see an Italian opera.

Ubud Bali 2017

This was my first yoga retreat that I ever led!  I got to co-lead the retreat with my best friend which was extra special.  We hosted our retreat at Soulshine in Ubud, which is owned and ran by Michael Franti.  The energy of the retreat center was electrifying and the group of women who came on the retreat created an experience of a lifetime.  We visited the sacred water temple, enjoyed shopping and riding scooters, and enjoyed all the incredible amenities of our retreat center.
